Sophie McKinnon

Sophie has been immersed in the world of dance and performance since the age of seven. Competing at national events such as PACANZ and NZDA with her studio from Tauranga. With over six years of experience in Tauranga Musical Theatre. She has taken on both performance and creative roles, including choreographing Frozen Jr. and, most recently, performing in We Will Rock You with Tauranga Girls’ College. She recently moved to Auckland to study Occupational Therapy at AUT. Sophie brings a unique blend of creativity and care to her teaching. She is passionate about helping young performers step out of their comfort zones, grow in confidence, and discover the joy of performing. Sophie aims to make a positive impact through teaching, with a focus on inclusivity, creativity... and having lots of fun!
