Betsabé Quintero

Betsabé Quintero is an Argentinian-born theatre educator, performer and creative director. She has a deep commitment to using the performing arts as a tool for connection, to develop confidence and build community. She holds a University Degree in Drama Education and has over a decade of experience across theatre, film, television, and improvisation, both in Argentina and Aotearoa.

Her teaching practice blends playfulness, clowning, and devised theatre with a strong social focus. Betsabé has facilitated workshops and theatre labs for people of all ages and backgrounds — including women, migrant communities, and youth — creating spaces where identity, language, and emotion can be explored through movement, storytelling, and ensemble work.

In Aotearoa, she has taught drama and improvisation in schools, festivals, and community spaces, often in both Spanish and English.

She is currently directing a new immersive theatre piece in Spanish, created in collaboration with a collective of artists from Auckland’s Spanish-speaking community.
